peace and pout

About a month ago I did a photo shoot with Luna B aka where all my money goes to. This was my favorite look from the day. Tough and girly all at the same time. Not an easy feat my friend. The nitty gritty streets of downtown LA are always a fun backdrop. I found it very amusing having to get dressed in an alley way with construction workers and the garden variety bum staring. Did I say amusing? I meant terrifying.

I'd have to say this outfit is a great representation of the things I love the most- maxis with slits, beanies, cross-body bags, and gold jewelry. Oh, and don't you dare forget about the Little Black Boots! It just feels so right. This Linea Pelle bag is from their new spring collection. It's the perfect size and has fully become my new everyday bag. Thank goodness because my poor little fringe purse has seen better days. Also madly in lust over my Haati Chai necklace. It kinda goes with everything. I cannot believe March is almost over. It was a fun month but I'm ready for the excitement April has in store. Stay tuned!

Sometimes I forget there is a life that exists off of 2 1/2 inch heels. Que the Vans! Pretty synonymous with the word "classic." I remember getting my first pair when I was in kindergarden. I went to a Catholic school which means uniforms and for a while Vans were the only shoes we were allowed to wear. They really set off our baby blue polo shirts. Moral of the story is, I'll probably be wearing these bad boys until I'm a little, old gray lady. Something to look forward to.

I've said this once, and I'll say it again; California is a magical place. Say what you will about the traffic, the smog, or the long lines at Chipotle- the almost perfect weather and gorgeous surroundings make waiting that extra ten minutes for my burrito bowl worth it (extra rice no beans, duh). I love me a muscle tank and have been rocking them hard well through winter, so why  not keep it consistent and wear them when spring is knocking at the door. Seems more appropriate anyway. So here's hoping that you are enjoying daylight savings as much as I am!

spring rolls

Every girl should have an arsenal of easy summertime dresses in their closet...right next to the stack of denim cutoffs and obnoxious amount of crop tops. I fell madly in love with this Lovers + Friends dress the moment it made fabric to skin contact. When it's right you just know, ya know? The perfect little white dress is equally as important as having the perfect little black dress after all. I'm looking forward to a very mellow rest of the weekend. The rain and cold make it difficult to utilize my arsenal, but pajamas with a glass of vino will be a suitable stand-in.
