H&M x little black boots

I've teamed up with Lookbook and H&M for a little summer fun. Even though I tend to be allergic to color, I think wearing dark neutrals can still be very summer-time friendly. I like to incorporate things like Angelina-esque slits and fun accessories. You can never go wrong with a maxi and moto jacket. I'm very excited to add this bad boy to my wardrobe. I have another leather moto from H&M that I'm sure you've seen in my posts because I wear it to death. Happy to give her a sibling. Poor thang was getting worn out.

If you read my previous post, you know I went to my friend's wedding a few weeks ago up in Santa Cruz. My boyfriend snapped these photos of me between the ceremony and cocktail hour, er I mean hours. Refill? Yes please. I wore this amazing dress from Planet Blue. It's the perfect combination of dressed up and comfortable. I love being engulfed in tons of fabric and let's just say I tripped over myself a whole lot and bathroom breaks were very inconvenient. My other wardrobe option was black and far more form fitting. But clearly that got nixed when I had visions of a 5 pound food baby poking through. Your girl likes to eat! I had such a great weekend reconnecting with old friends. Oh weddings, you are just too darn fun.

It's Friday and I couldn't be more excited for the weekend. I of course have a million things I want to do/get done but all that matters to me is I am going to sleep in tomorrow and no one can stop me. This week was filled with lots of work and a couple of fun events. But it was mostly filled with heat. Hot, oppressive, mind-numbing heat. I literally slept with two ziplock bags of ice last night. The struggle is real man. I also really want to get my choker game up. I'm very into them right now. Cheers to the weekend loves!

LA is smack-dab in the middle of one hell of a heat wave. People are losing their damn minds. Usually I'm a huge baby when temperatures rise or fall too far from my preferred temperature, but this go around I'm pretty...OK. Has hell finally frozen over? This week is a busy one for me. The rest of May is in fact going to be quite hectic. I have a few fun projects in the works so stay tuned my friends! Now back to shoving my head in the freezer.
