Summer Basics: Moussy Denim

Discovering new denim brands to me feels like hitting the lottery. Ok that's dramatic, but maybe like when you find a twenty dollar bill in your back pocket or wallet you had no idea about. Fun!

This brand is called Moussy and it's straight out of Japan so you know it's gotta be good. I have a couple pairs and am already impatiently waiting for their fall collection to come out. I'm loving the simple ease of this outfit. There's not a whole lot going on but it just shows that if you have the right key pieces you don't need much to make it sing. If you want to amp it up, just add a leather jacket or neutral colored trench with your favorite shade of liquid matte lipstick. 

Sometimes less is really more.

Puerto Vallarta: Modeliste Magazine x Shot by G

I can't believe my trip to Mexico with Modeliste Magazine was already a month ago! These are one half of the photos I shot for the mag on the mean streets of Puerto Vallarta. Such a beautiful city with beyond incredible sights and friendly people. I couldn't say thank you enough to everyone and their hospitality.

Now that the fog has settled, and the dust is cleared, I can now share how absolutely chaotic April was for me! I had tons of highs and some pretty low lows. I definitely work on myself every single day to improve parts of my personality I don't particularly like. One being handling stress and disappointment. My biggest inspirations in that department are my parents. Whenever I need a reality check or comfort I usually turn to them because they've lived through it all. They provide me with a better outlook on things aka that everything will be OK. They are so tough and never let a misstep deter their life or bring them down. Sometimes I wonder how I am their child?! haha

But bottom line is that life is beautiful and I am grateful for so many things. I am looking forward to the next several months where I hope to be traveling my face off. I'm excited to see more new places and fill up more pages in my passport.

Bodysuit Favorites

I'm trying to pinpoint the moment when I fell in love with bodysuits again and I think it was this past NYFW. I wore an amazing one from GUESS. They are just so darn practical under denim. Even though they can be a bit of a pain when it comes to going to the lady's room, the overall benefits outweigh the little inconveniences! 

I hate fussy clothes and am terrible at periodically checking to make sure everything is in it's right spot, so it's no surprise that I end up looking like a bit of a mess sometimes if I don't take the right precautions. Bodysuits keep everything where they need to be. High and tight!

The one I am wearing in these photos is the Xenia by Privacy Please. The perfect little piece for spring that says "Hey I'm sexy, but also sweet."
